This blog is a response to the lack of resources for fathers, grandfathers, and uncles of lost children in any phase of life. My own personal experience comes from miscarriage and loss due to chromosomal syndromes (specifically Trisomy 13), and I’m challenging myself to be as personal and honest here as I can be in an effort to connect with other fathers in a way that I’ve been unable to find elsewhere. I named this the Diary of an Almost Father because of the loss of fatherhood – I’m a proud father of two (so far) but am missing out on experiencing their lives.
